VIC:Flash flooding eases in Victoria=2

The SES received 6300 requests for help over the weekend, 4700 of those in Melbourne
and the outer metropolitan area.

Most of those jobs had been dealt with and the rest were expected to be cleared on Monday.

Among the hardest hit areas were Pakenham and Narre Warren in Melbourne's southeast,
and Mildura in the state's northwest.

The SES said 118 rescues had to be carried out, 80 of which were from cars where people
had attempted to drive through floodwaters.
